ANED is governed by a Presidency and by a National Council.

The Presidency is composed of the National President Gianfranco Maris (ex deportee at Mauthausen and Gusen), of the Vice Presidents Bruno Vasari (ex deportee at Mauthausen and Gusen) and Dario Segre (relative of persons fallen at Mauthausen and Ebensee), in addition to the Treasurer Renato Butturini (son of one fallen at Bergen Belsen)and by the General Secretary Miuccia Gigante (daughter of one fallen at the Risiera di San Sabba).
The Presidency, following the statute’s norms, "sees to the execution of the deliberations of the National Council and has the right to check the activity of the sections," as well as supervising ordinary administration.

The last congress has also elected an Honorary Committee, composed of  Rosa Cantoni, Enzo Collotti, Luigi Mazzullo, Liana Millu, Bianca Paganini, Paolo Bruno Spezzotti e Italo Tibaldi.

The National Council is comprised of no more than 75 council members. It holds a reunion at least once a year and maintains "deliberative power regarding all material concerning the life of the association."
The National Congress is summoned by regulation every four years. The last  was exceptionally reunited in the Lager of Risiera (Trieste) the month of September 2004.

The Association edits a newspaper, "Triangolo Rosso" (Red Triangle), which is distributed 4 times a year exclusively by subscription. The newspaper is directed by an editorial staff. The Chief Editor is the President of ANED, Gianfranco Maris.
